Swans are majestic birds associated with royalty. In fact, all the swans in England belong to Queen Elizabeth II. There used to be a law in The Netherlands that only the king could eat swan meat. Perhaps the royals admired the swans’ power and stature. Swans are among the heaviest flying birds in the world, typically weighing around 12 kilograms, but some can reach up to 20 kilograms!
